Eatcard goes international

For the first time, Eatcard is live outside the Netherlands. Our first international partner is Joyato Sushi & Grill in Swansea, an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant that brought our platform across the border with it. It is a milestone for us, and a sign of where Eatcard is heading: the same complete hospitality platform, now serving operators well beyond the Dutch market.

Joyato is the right partner to mark that step. Their focus on quality, service and a memorable dining experience lines up closely with what Eatcard is built for, and it gave us the perfect first venue to prove the platform works just as well abroad as it does at home.

All-you-can-eat, the Japanese way

At Joyato, the idea is generous and simple: taste a wide range of dishes without limits. From freshly prepared sushi to grilled meat and vegetable specialities, the menu invites guests to keep ordering and keep discovering. It is a format built around variety, and it draws a steady, lively crowd.

That style of dining also asks a lot of the operation behind it. All-you-can-eat means a high volume of orders per table, rounds arriving throughout the meal and a kitchen that has to stay in step from the first plate to the last. To handle that smoothly, Joyato runs its front and back of house on Eatcard.

Booking and planning a full house

A busy all-you-can-eat restaurant lives by its reservations. With the Eatcard Reservation system, Joyato manages reservations effortlessly, while the planner gives the team a clear overview of the service ahead: which tables are booked, when guests are arriving and how to set the room. Knowing the shape of the evening in advance lets the team prepare the floor and pace the kitchen, so a full house feels organised rather than overwhelming.

Ordering that keeps the table moving

In an all-you-can-eat setting, ordering has to be quick and repeatable. QR ordering lets guests order round after round straight from their phones, at their own pace, without waiting for a server to come past. Alongside it, the team uses Eatcard handhelds to take and adjust orders tableside and send them through instantly.

Both flow into the one system, so every round, whether scanned by a guest or entered by staff, lands in one place. That keeps the plates coming without the table ever feeling like it is waiting, which is exactly what the format depends on.

Two tills and a clear picture behind them

On a busy night, one register is not enough. Joyato works with two Eatcard POS terminals, so the team can take payments and manage the floor without bottlenecks at peak times. Behind the daily service, Eatcard Insights gives the owner a clear view of how the restaurant performs: which dishes move most, when the peaks fall and how each service compares. For an all-you-can-eat concept, that insight turns a high-volume operation into one the team can plan and sharpen over time.

A platform that travels

What makes Joyato work is the way everything connects. QR ordering, handhelds, two POS terminals, the reservation system, the planner and Insights all run on a single Eatcard platform. Nothing has to be stitched together, and nothing falls between the cracks, from a reservation made days ahead to the final number at close.
