While you can opt for devices that only take orders, we do recommend handhelds with payment functionality because they save time by allowing staff to process payments directly at the table. This reduces the need for separate pin terminals, which can also lower costs and improve overall efficiency.

Does the KDS support multiple stations?

Yes, you can assign orders to different stations, such as hot kitchen, cold prep, or bar, depending on the items. Each station sees only the relevant orders, improving clarity and coordination.

Is the reservation system integrated with other Eatcard systems?

Yes, the reservation system is fully connected with all other Eatcard systems. When guests arrive, your staff can use handheld devices to quickly check them in, assign them to the correct table, and ensure their specific reservation details and arrangements are linked, streamlining the entire guest experience from booking to seating.

Do we still need a kitchen printer with the KDS?

A printer is optional. The Eatcard KDS is designed to replace traditional paper tickets with a structured digital workflow. However, you can configure it to print a ticket only when the chef marks an item as completed, for example, to attach a receipt to a dish before service. This avoids the constant stream of printed tickets and gives your kitchen more control and clarity.
